Claiming Worker's Compensation

• Notre Dame employees who are injured during the course of their work are to receive care through University Health Services.
  
• The Registered nurse on duty will screen patients and provide care, or refer patients to the UHS physician or emergency department.
  
• Those who require emergency care are to be referred to Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center.
  
• If necessary, an employee may be referred to the Wipperman Occupational Health Clinic or other area specialist.

Our main concern and area of responsibility is the health and safety of the employee. It is not the responsibility of the Health Center to determine if an injury will be covered under the worker's compensation program. That determination is made by the Risk Management Department.
