Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
This Red Cross blended learning course combines award-winning, engaging and interactive online simulation learning plus an in-person classroom session to learn and practice critical lifesaving skills for certification.
Note to members of F.A.S.T. and Community First Aid Volunteers,
You must also have certification in both Basic Life Support fot the healthcare provider and First Aid - the Red Cross class being the minimum. You may show any current level of First Aid/Emergency Response/EMT certification.
IMPORTANT! You must complete the online portion of this course prior to attending your in-person skills session, and provide proof of completion to your instructor. You can do so in one of the following ways:
Print out your online course completion record from the course and show it to your instructor – it will read “Proceed to Skill Session”
Show the email confirmation you received upon completing the online to your instructor (i.e.. show on mobile phone or other device or via printed copy)
Login to your account and show the instructor the completion status that appeared above the “Launch Course” button after you completed the online portion
YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ONLINE PORTION AND PROVIDE PROOF OF COMPLETION TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR TO QUALIFY FOR THE IN-PERSON SKILLS SESSION!!
For the online portion of Blended Learning, on a PC, please use Internet Explorer. In Windows 10, to find it’ go to the start button on the bottom left, go to Cortana and request Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer 11 will open and is compatible with the Red Cross Material. On other versions of Windows, use Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome. On a MAC, it is suggested to use Firefox or Chrome.

Note! For F.A.S.T. Members and Community Volunteers at the Stadium, you also need First Aid. Use the following link for the needed First Aid Course.

You can do the above online material anytime BEFORE your scheduled skill session. There is no cost to you for the online material.
To schedule a skill session to be held in the Conference Room at St. Liam Hall, (combined Basic Life Support and First Aid Skills) and arrange payment for the course go to the Payment and Registration page
